Remodelista Considered Design Awards: Vote for the Best Bath—Professional Category

June 29, 2013

Below are the finalists for the Best Bath Space designed by professionals. To see all the photos for each project, scroll down within each box. You can vote once a day in each category now through July 15. Share images on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest using the sharing tools embedded beneath each image. Happy voting!

Malcolm Davis Architecture. Tough Trough Sink in a Simple Boys’ Bath. San Francisco, CA. “This is a boy’s bathroom finished with hardwearing industrial materials such as stainless steel and slate including fully tiled walls and ceiling. The space borrows light through an interior window that looks out onto the neighboring stair skylight.”

Steven Harris Architects. Skylit Open Bath with Floating Bench. Montauk, NY. “This airy bathroom taps the seaside light and landscape beyond its walls with its perforated skylight and open layout. A sense of lightness is reiterated by the all-glass shower walls, floating benches, cantilevered sink, and mirrored bath.”

Schwartz and Architecture. Traditional Cool in Gray and Green. San Francisco, CA. “Here, we worked specifically to ‘curate’ the natural light–using it to draw people up and through the space, to focus attention on the collection of art objects, and to propel them back out to panoramic views of the city beyond.”

Deborah Berke Partners. Invigorating Green in a Tiled Guest Bath. New York, NY. “

Emerald green tiles arranged in a bold, graphic grid transform the guest bath of our apartment at Lincoln Center into an exciting retreat. Soft wood cabinets floating above dark, contrasting floors provide another compelling counterpoint to the sedate skyline that is framed by the carefully placed mirror.”

Chambers + Chambers Architects. Cream Beadboard with Modern Spa Details. Mill Valley, CA. “The master bath has a his and hers custom Calacatta vanity with Duravit deck-mounted sinks. The tile on the floor is 3/8″ x 3/8″ Calacatta and all the other tile used throughout the bathroom is from Blue Slide. All the plumbing fixtures and accessories are by Lefroy Brooks. The mirrors are recessed medicine cabinets and the modern light fixtures are by Y Lighting.”
