Nostalgic Reclaimed Fixtures and Fittings from Water & Wood in the UK

When Jenna Highman embarked on a restoration of her Victorian house in 2012, she found herself dismayed by the lack of original and restored hardware available to purchase. “So,” she says, “I set about finding my own taps, showers and door knobs, and from this, a seed was sown. Six years later and numerous research trips to source good quality original pieces, I have launched Water & Wood, an online collection of beautifully restored hardware for the home.

“The range of vintage products celebrate timeless and functional design. Each item is carefully restored and reassembled ready for customers to use, appropriate for both traditional and contemporary environments.”

Above: “I try to search for matching pairs of taps as they are perfect for matching sinks,” Highman says. “This particular set are some of my absolute favorites with their elegant swan neck, a recurring theme in vintage French taps.”
