Portuguese Tiles from Centuries Past

While we’ve been taking note of the renaissance of handmade tile in recent months, we also love the idea of salvage tile, of restoring the art from centuries past into the floors and backsplashes of modern kitchens. It’s one of the few ways to achieve a totally unique interior in a world of over-sharing and easily replicable ideas.

So when we came across a great online resource, Solar Antique Tiles out of New York and Florida, we wanted to share. Here’s a look at some favorite vintage tile from Portugal, available to purchase online in quantities of whatever is left.
