Object of Desire: Atelier NL ZandGlas Stamped Glassware

We’ve been fans of Atelier NL in the Netherlands for a while now (see Atelier NL Tableware at DWR); we’re currently obsessed with their newish ZandGlas line of glassware, made from sand collected from dunes, beaches, rivers, deserts, mountains, and sandpits. Founders Nadine Sterk and Lonny van Ryswyck are focused on “developing products that showcase the richness of the earth and the value of local raw materials,” as they say. “Atelier NL speaks to the subtleties of the natural world by reshaping raw earth elements into tangible, everyday objects.”

Here’s a look (the glass pieces are available individually or as a set, directly from Atelier NL):
