We’re admiring Fireclay Tile’s new Agrarian Collection, inspired by the rows and circles of farmland as seen from the sky.
The eight-inch square tiles are handmade and painted at the Fireclay factory in Aromas, California, located amid fertile farmland not far from Monterey. The local company turned to its own backyard for inspiration for its newest collection, and created eight designs that combine to create the signature patchwork of farmland seen from above.
Each Agrarian pattern is available in three colorways—warm (with coral and brown), cool (a mix of blues and greens), and white—and each is painted by hand on a recycled red clay body.
Tiles are made to order with a four-to-six-week lead time.
The collection is priced at $30 per tile. Visit Fireclay for a mesmerizing video of the painting process. For more on tile, see:- Earth and Clay: Tierras Tiles by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina
