We have plenty to choose from this week, as global design fairs IMM Cologne (January 18-24), Maison & Objet in Paris (January 22-26), and the Stockholm Furniture Fair (February 9-13) all just drew to a close. Here are some favorites.
Countertop
Above: LG’s solid surface brand Hi-Macs has extended its Lucia collaboration with Dutch designer Marcel Wanders with three new colors by Wanders plus two from the brand.
Kitchens
Above: Belgian brand Obumex unveiled a new minimal kitchen in travertine stone at Maison & Objet, designed by architect Glenn Sestig. Read more at Wallpaper.
Faucets & Fixtures
Above: Italian brand Zazzeri released the Qquadro line of bathroom fixtures by Fabrizio Batoni, available in chrome and brushed steel.
Furniture
Above: At IMM Cologne, Italian furniture company e15 shared two new designs from its continued collaboration with Brit designer David Chipperfield: the Drayton sideboard (shown) and the Leighton coffee table.
Above: In Cologne, Italian design studio Driade revealed a collaboration with Italian notebook company Moleskine and French designer Philippe Nigro on the Portable Atelier collection of office furnishings. The collection includes a desk (shown), stool, portable shelving, wastebaskets, and storage containers. Read more at Driade.
Walls & Flooring
Above: In Cologne, Finnish furniture brand Woodnotes presented a new carpet collection made of wool, linen, and paper fibers. We like the Big Stripe rug (shown), also available as a runner and in 24 colors.
- In Paris, Swedish brand Eco Wallpaper launched a new collaboration with design studio Front. The all-white wallpapers are flat versions of cut-paper designs, giving them a three-dimensional effect.
Lighting
Above: German brand Kalmar Werkstätten presented at all three fairs, launching a pendant version of its popular Fliegenbein BL floor lamp designed in 1957.
