Bold leaves on a stalk, simply rendered birds and flowers, cats whose tails curve around the rim of a plate: there’s something whimsical, even joyful, but sophisticated about Makoto Kagoshima‘s hand-painted ceramics. Now the Japanese artist’s designs are available in a new medium: on organic-fiber table linens, spun at Finish textile house Lapuan Kankurit, sold via March—just in time for spring.
