Our Canadian friend Charlie Scott emailed us a while back to let us know about a new and interesting source for innovative lighting: “I recently stumbled across Authentik Luminaire, a company based in a tiny town near my mum’s house in the Quebec countryside.” We did a quick Google search and discovered the backstory.
Luminaire Authentik was founded in 2014 by Maude Rondeau, who spent 15 years working for major European fashion brands. Rondeau had an aha moment when she met Pierre Gagne, an engineer; she’d been toying with the idea of striking out on her own and suddenly it seemed possible to launch her own line of industrial-inspired light fixtures. Here are some of our favorite designs.
