Discovered via The Kitchen Vote: the TORR Espresso Tampers from Terra Keramik, perfect for the espresso fanatic. Café Kultur in Germany handcrafts each one using only premium raw materials; they’re available in five different woods and two piston sizes (with straight-walled or soft convex-bottoms). Wood for the tamper handles is purchased from a German timber broker that sources its wood from responsibly managed forests and is certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). Only oils that naturally occur in the wood are used to protect the wood handles (no synthetic stains). Prices start at $78.
