Kitchen of the Week: An Echo Park Kitchen Revived, Budget Edition

A while back we featured Beatrice Valenzuela and Ramsey Condor’s overhaul of an Echo Park ranch house in Los Angeles; today we’re taking a closer room at the economical kitchen remodel, which has lots of affordable ideas to steal.

Above: Beatrice and Ramsey removed the existing built-ins and created an ad-hoc modular workspace with a farmhouse sink, custom-built ash shelving, and brass fixtures.

Above: Beauty in the details: Ramsey designed the sand-cast solid brass polished Shelf Brackets and the Gold-Plated Brass Hooks.

Above: Beatrice and Ramsey sourced the unlacquered brass faucet from Newport Brass. The countertops and shelves are ash, sealed with linseed oil; the material will develop a patina over time.
