Back in the summer of 2016, our friend Megan Wilson returned from the Spanish island of Menorca with a tip: we ought to check out the work of local designers Benito Escat and Pol Castells of Quintana Partners. We liked what we saw so much that that was eight features ago.
Benito and Pol pair raw historic settings with vintage finds in refreshingly playful ways: see, for instance, Kitchens That are Both Old and New; Casa Telmo, The Island Hotel; and The Former Plant Nursery Turned Vacation Retreat. More recently, we’ve watched them open a busy live/work Barcelona office and complete projects near and far, including their latest boutique hotel, Château des Fleurs, near the Champs Elysées (and a second Paris hotel is on the way).
Benito and Pol have also just launched the House of Quintana, a collection of their decorative designs that will shift seasonally. Up first: tableware and textiles presented in Quintana Partners’s beautifully timeworn settings.
