Located in the center of Marseilles, Casa Honoré was once a printing factory, then an untraditional family home, with concrete floors, metal-cased windows, and vintage lighting and furniture. When their children left home, owners Annick Lestrohan and her husband, Bernard, created what they refer to as a "mini-hotel," which opened in June 2008. Using monotone colors as a backdrop, they mixed vintage finds with bright Moroccan fabrics and furniture made from reclaimed wood. At her nearby shop, Honoré, Annick sells housewares as well as linens and towels embossed with Casa Honoré's signature "H"—although guests can also purchase anything in the hotel. Clearly, this former industrial facility continues to be a work in progress.
