U Barba (named after a local comedian from the 1930s) recently opened in the happening Porta Romana district of Milan. The owners, Marco and Paul (both of whom hail from Genoa), wanted to create a laid-back place to hang out with family and friends. They refurbished an industrial space with vintage finds and reclaimed wood, created an outdoor dining terrace, and added a bocce court for post-dinner games. For more information, go to U Barba.
