Lately we’ve been spotting pieces by Swiss company USM Haller in smart interiors everywhere. The modular furniture collection was developed by architect Fritz Haller in 1961, based on his construction methods for USM’s headquarters and factory in 1961. The resulting USM Haller Collection was designed to adapt and expand as home and office needs changed. And by building furniture meant to last for generations, USM was emphasizing sustainability before it was fashionable, and USM Haller pieces bought 50 years ago can be paired with those purchased today.
CB2 seems to have taken notice as well; their new Crain line of tables echoes the look and feel of the USM Haller collection. But minus the refined detailing.
