High/Low: The Now-Iconic Cloud Pendant by Apparatus Studio

by Published: June 6, 2023

We first admired the work of Apparatus Studios back in 2012, when they were a smallish NY outfit creating innovative lighting from a combination of salvaged and new components. Fast forward to the present: Apparatus is one of the most admired lighting companies around, with outposts in New York, Los Angeles, and London (they’re also carried at design-forward showrooms and shops around the world). Seems CB2 has been paying attention, too. Here’s a look:

Above: The Corvina Polished Brass Chandelier from CB2 is $999; it features frosted glass globes and brass download rods and canopy; reviews are mixed (one purchaser says, “The light is only a few lit up in the center and the surrounding glass pieces just hang. It’s not as beautiful as the photo unfortunately”).
