Our love for canvas bags continues—this time we found them in Chicago, hand-sewn from post-industrial recycled canvas.
Winter Session, a workshop located in the northern part of the Windy Cit,y is a love story between couple Roy Katz and Tanya Fleisher. They first met during an art class in high school and continued a long-distance relationship via letters, drawings, and poems until they reconnected seven years later in LA. After architecture work in India, they finally settled in Chicago, and Winter Session took shape. Their mission: to make utilitarian high-quality products using sustainable and recycled materials. Their collection includes bags, wallets, cases, and aprons. Here are a few of our favorites at offer through Winter Session (also see Shopper's Diary: Aprons from Winter Session in Chicago).
