I can never tell whether those closet storage solutions from big-box stores—the hangers with belt clips and velcro and loops—are actually useful or overcomplicate the situation. What I can tell is that I find them depressing to look at everyday.
I like the Zen approach to closet organization. Case in point? Handmade steel hangers from Iko Iko as an artful solution to hanging scarves, pants, and odd-shaped accessories.
