We recently set the table with Diane von Furstenberg on the terrace of her Manhattan headquarters, located in the fashionable Meatpacking district, using pieces from her newly launched DVF tabletop collection. Von Furstenberg has honed her global-chic style over the last 40-plus years (her original 1973 wrap dress of DVF fame is currently on view at the Pace Gallery in Beijing); as an avid traveler, art collector, and philanthropist, "my surroundings reflect who I am," she says.

Above: We love the idea of using rugs outdoors (weather permitting): for this weekend brunch we used DVF's Tribal Diamond rug from The Rug Company. The chairs are vintage from DVF's own collection (similar styles can be found at Neven Moderne in Hudson, NY); one chair is draped with a Vintage Throw from the DVF Home Bedding Collection, on another, a one-of-a-kind Vintage Pillow is propped.
Above: A Vintage Throw, inspired by DVF's travels, was used as a tablecloth. The throws are made from traditional sari fabric, no two pieces are alike; $300 each. A Rattan-Wrapped Round Charger made of hammered metal adds to the ethnic mix; $50 each. Miro Silhouette Napkins in white with yellow stitching with Rattan Wrap Napkin Rings and Rattan Wrap Placecard Holder. Night Collection Flatware in gold ($105 for a five piece setting) is paired with Pebblestone Plates in smoke gray and white.
Above: Inspired by urban skylines, DVF's High Rise Stemware is available in amber (shown above), clear, avocado green, blue, and smoke; $60 for a set of four. Horn Bowls are $30 to $50, depending on size.
