Since 1980, Stockholm-based Kerstin Olby has been working as a furniture designer and cabinet maker, creating timeless, simple pieces that aim to “unite excellent quality with excellent design and function.” Olby uses natural materials–wood, stone, iron, linen, wool, and cotton–that are durable, require minimal maintenance, and will acquire a beautiful patina over time. Olby’s pieces are available at her Stockholm Showroom, at More North in New York, and at Kitanosumai Sekkeisha Co. in Hokkaido, Japan. To see more of her work, go to Olby Design.
