Furniture: Modern Windsor Chair from Matter

Designed by Chris Specce for Matter in New York, the Windsor Chair is a modern interpretation of the English classic. Like the original Windsor chair, it is made using classic three wood construction: maple, poplar, and oak. Although the form has been streamlined and pared down in a nod to minimalism, the chair retains the solid charm of its ancestor. The Windsor Chair is available in black or blue for $400 from Matter. Custom colors available on request.
