Furniture: Bear and Lion in Brooklyn

November 3, 2010

Brooklyn-based design duo Bernardo Guillermo (originally from the Netherlands) and Jude Heslin-di Leo (originally from San Francisco) both graduated from Pratt; together they produce a collection of modern and environmentally sustainable furnishings under the name Bear and Lion. They are already winning notice for their work, which is defined by crisp angles and clean lines; the spare and simple Mirabelle table shown below was purchased by the painter and Hudson Valley resident Brice Marden (and was also featured on the cover of UK’s World of Interiors in April 2009).
