This week's Designer Visit: Charles Mellersh in London reminded us of how much we like (and covet) the contemporary craft furniture from UK company Another Country, founded by Paul de Zwert, who was part of the founding team at Wallpaper. De Zwert aims to "reinterpret the spirit and functionality of the familiar and unpretentious forms of British Country kitchen style, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian, and Japanese woodwork." All pieces are made from FSC certified solid wood in the UK and are easy to transport (large pieces arrive flat-packed) and versatile. To see the full line, go to Another Country; in New York, the bench and stool can be seen (and purchased) at the Monocle Store in the West Village.
