The Brass Tacks: Bespoke Fixtures “That Don’t Cost the Earth”

February 29, 2024

Welcome to our new (ish) column, The Brass Tacks, in which we highlight the tiniest but mightiest details in the house: good-looking hardware, hinges, and fixtures.

Julie recently alerted us to Francone Bespoke Taps in the UK, founded by Italian Paolo Francone, who, upon relocating to London, “became obsessed with traditional British style and the provenance behind classic Anglo-American design.”

The company firmly believes that made-to-order, artisan-crafted hardware should be achievable. “You really can enjoy bespoke, completely customized, beautifully finished products without them costing the earth,” they say. “Simply tell us what you want, and we will take care of the rest.”

Shop existing sanitary ware—bath taps, kitchen taps, shower fixtures, heated towel racks—or tailor to fit your needs.
