Admired recently: a collection of wallpaper murals by British design phenom Faye Toogood for Calico. The wallpapers are non-repeating panoramas drawn and painted by hand and digitally transferred to hessian panels. The designers explain the concept as: “an abstracted take on the Rococo fashion of encasing an entire room in a scenic mural.” For the three styles—Woodlands, Fields, Moors—Toogood drew inspiration from her childhood memories of rural England. They’re available at Calico as complete landscapes or as individual drops.
