One of my favorite linen lines is Society Limonta, founded in 1893 in the textile town of Costamasnaga in Italy. The crumpled, washed linen tablecloths and bedding are both luxurious and completely relaxed—but hard to come by in the US. (There are several stores in Italy—the flagship is in Milan, and the linens are available in Paris at Adele Shaw at 33 rue Jacob; and a fan base is growing in Australia courtesy of Ondene.) In the US, Bloom in Sag Harbor and ABC Carpet in NY carry a few pieces; and we were interested to learn that Pierre Lafond in Montecito recently began carrying the bedding line, including linen duvet covers, cashmere duvet covers and quilts, linen shams, and soft wool throw blankets. Go to Pierre Lafond for information.
