Is enameled lava stone the latest trend to watch? “It’s very, very resistant and you can do whatever color you want,” star designer Dorothée Meilichzon told our writer Morgan, referring to her material of choice for the bathrooms at Cowley Manor Experimental in the Cotswolds. “We’ve carved it to create the sinks. The vanity is important because it’s where you’re going to make up and brush your teeth. So we’re always trying to create something quite surprising there.” (Enameled lava stone is also extremely durable, sustainable, and impervious to water—ideal for a bathroom.)
With enameled lave stone setting the tone, each bath at Cowley Manor is done in a different palette. Today we’re taking a look at this mossy green bath—with similar products, sourced, if you (like us) are hoping to get the look at home.
