Design Sleuth: Colorful Concrete Planters by Mary Martha Collins

June 17, 2013

Admired in an SF urban garden by landscape architect Scott Lewis: a cheery red concrete planter by Mary Martha Collins, a California-based artist who specializes in vibrantly hued concrete vessels (planters and fountains) for the garden. Collins casts her planters using fiberglass molds and then adds layers of pigment mixed with concrete. To see more of her work and for ordering information, go to Mary Martha Collins.
