Happy new year, one and all. Now that winter is officially upon us, we’re resetting, decluttering, resting…and setting our sights on some stitching workshops and good pastries, too. That and more, ahead this weekend:
- Time to take up some mending and making? Find a slew of virtual classes all January long from Tatter Blue Library. (We’re particularly intrigued by this in-person workshop on “embroidery as drawing.”)
- Welcome Home, a bakery from former L’Appartement 4F employees, is now open in Brooklyn for “fresh bakes and good chat.” Pastry connoisseurs, stop in.
- New year, new art: Dutch co. PSTR Studio is hosting a winter sale on select posters and prints.
- Ravenhill Studio is launching a lighting sample sale on January 10, and email subscribers “will get first dibs on discounts of 50 percent or more on near perfect fixtures.” Interested? Sign up here.
- A coffee cup for the don’t-talk-to-me-til-I’ve-had-caffeine crew.
- We’re admiring this curator and collector’s above-the-shop apartment.
- Cocktails—and mocktails—for a cold winter’s night.
