Yesterday we featured County Ltd., a new shop in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, matching housewares with workwear clothing. The housewares side of things is run by Kirill Bergart and Joe Lorens under the name Counter-Space. Inspired by vintage designs from French modernists and Japanese traditionalists, Bergart and Lorens design simple brass hardware, oak and cherry furniture, and vegetable-tanned leather goods; the building blocks of a modern California space. Here’s a focused look at the duo’s designs.
N.B.: Shop Counter-Space/County Ltd. in person at this weekend’s Remodelista Market San Francisco at Heath: December 10th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. & December 11th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
