Light My Fire: Handmade Lanterns from Wisconsin

July 3, 2013

We’ve been keeping our eye on Brooklyn-based online store Kaufmann Mercantile ever since it launched over three years ago. Founded by Sebastian Kaufmann, a German expat “with a great appreciation for design, art, cooking, science, and the outdoors,” the store’s rigorous pursuit of well-made, hand-picked products with an emphasis on quality makes it a great resource.  Their in-depth product descriptions means buyers know the full provenance of a product and the work that has gone into its production. Case in point, these American-made Copper & Brass Handheld Lantern; $24.90 each from Kaufmann Mercantile.
