Concrete Innovations: New Storage Pieces

September 3, 2012

Ever since we wrote about their graceful votives last year, we've kept our eyes peeled for new concrete innovations from Obelisk. Once again, this year's fresh crop of rare accessories for the home does not disappoint.

Though they work with what could be considered the "King of Industrial Materials," Obelisk's objects are never heavy-handed or crude. Rather, it seems that Obelisk's approach to their medium is restrained and refined. The balanced proportions, clean lines, and lithe forms that they favor allow the elemental nature of the concrete to shine. The results are both simple and sophisticated, rustic and modern—all at the same time.
