To celebrate our Scandinavian Summerhouse week, we asked readers to create Scandi summer Pinterest boards with their favorite Nordic inspiration. Our guest judge is Scandi design maven Annaleena Karlsson of Annaleena’s HEM. The winner? Crista Cuccaro’s Remodelista Scandi Summer Board.
Karlsson chose Christa Cuccaro’s mood board for its reflection of Scandinavian summer. Karlsson says, “People in Scandinavia have only a few warm months in a year so nature, living in the country, and staying in holiday cottages is important to us. [Christa’s] mood board delivers the feeling of outdoor/indoor living and contained many inspiring sauna pictures and simple light wood furnishings, which are typical for a Scandinavian summer interior.”
Congratulations Christa on winning Swan Lake’s Scandi-inspired wood bead necklace and thank you to all our Pinterest board submissions.

Founded in the summer of 2011, The Swan Lake features eclectic jewelry influenced by the “bright simplicity of Scandinavian design and colorful midcentury modern graphics.” Mount designs and builds each piece by hand in her St. Louis home.
