One of our favorite exhibitions in recent years is Furnishing Utopia, a show of 14 design studios that each reinterpreted traditional Shaker furniture and objects. One designer, Montreal-based Zoë Mowat, studied Shaker brushes—their functions and materials—and designed her own colorful ash and horsehair hand brushes. They’re for sale in limited edition on her site; here’s a look.
