In six categories—professional and amateur kitchens, baths, and living/dining rooms—your vote will choose the winners. The winners of our United Kingdom categories will be chosen by our judges and announced on August 7. Browse below to see the five finalist projects in the best Amateur UK Interior category.

It was chosen as a finalist by Remodelista editor Julie Carlson, who called the project “the best of both worlds: the charming exterior of this 250-year-old farmhouse remains intact, while the interiors have been completely modernized. The open plan kitchen and dining room, with original brick fireplace, is especially appealing, and the family bedrooms are airy and inviting.”

Well done.” Photograph by Douglas Gibb.

It’s lovely to have that sweet sitting area in the kitchen, and the tonal color palette is soothing. Very nice attention to detail.”

We especially like the kitchen, with its crisp black countertops and clever hanging utensil installation.” Photograph by Darren Hercher.

Don’t forget to vote once per day in the non-UK contest categories on both Remodelista and Gardenista, now through August 4.
