The Brass Tacks: Hardware as Healing Frequency, from Spaces Within in Sweden

June 13, 2024

I recently came across the jewelry-like hardware of Spaces Within, a Stockholm-based brand founded by designers Nadja Bari and Karin Wallenbeck. Spaces Within designs “sculptural cabinet hardware with sensual forms, textural finishes, and unique proportions,” the duo explains, all made from solid brass in a second-generation foundry in Florence, Italy. If, as they describe, beauty is a healing frequency, then the micro-pleasure of opening a drawer or cabinet with the undulating form of a hand-sculpted brass handle feels as practical as it is luxurious. Here is a look at their current collection.
