A sleepy Mediterrean beachside hotel morphs into an exotic retreat for low-key jetsetters.
Thomas Heyne and Mario Hertel (a pair of Germans who roam the world creating what they call "temporal hospitality experiences," including Papaya Play in Tulum, Mexico) recently took over the San Giorgio Hotel in Mykonos and morphed it into a laid-back but luxurious holiday haven. Working with Design Hotels on the interiors, they've created a low-key, exotic sanctuary, with white-washed interiors, traditional Greek furniture, and plenty of hammocks.
