Bathroom of the Week: An Italian Bed and Bath at a Revamped Villa, Luxe Edition

Forget the overly cheery pinks and greens of Lilly Pulitzer: We much prefer the lush, moody treatment of the colors at Villa La Madonna in Piemonte. Co-owned by Swedish sisters Marie and Annica Eklund (who also run design company Bolon), the 16th-century-villa turned hotel is causing us to rethink a formerly preppy palette. Here’s a look.

(In addition to the lush beds and baths, we have our eye on summertime dinners on the terrace and massages offered al fresco.)

N.B. The Eklund sisters just launched a collection of Villa La Madonna rugs, inspired by the woven styles in each villa guest room, now available via Bolon.
