First spotted in NY Magazine: novelist Dirk Wittenborn’s Brooklyn Heights brownstone duplex, designed by German-born architect Kurt Andernach. In this project, Andernach combined a parlor floor apartment with a garden apartment, gutting the interior to create a clean-lined, loft-like space, while preserving details such as the the original fireplace (which now serves as a niche for a Wolf range).
