Agrarian Chicken Coop Giveaway

May 22, 2012

Ready to start raising chickens? Here's our randomly selected winner: Brenda Gose.

"I'm an avid gardener of native plants, wild flowers, herbs, and organic vegetables. I use raised beds for my herbs and vegetables. I love the Sophie Conran Potting Scoop. I do a lot of potting of vegetable and flower seedlings for myself and to give to my neighbors. The scoop makes that task easier for me, and I have less of a mess to clean up. My next venture into self-sufficiency is to raise 3 to 4 chickens for eggs. When I saw the coop in the Williams-Sonoma catalog I fell in love! I asked my husband if he could make me one just like it and he just gave me the raised eyebrow look, which I took to be a 'no.' I would be so happy to win the coop."

Congratulations and thank you to all our incredible submissions: a total of 674 comments.

Courtesy of our friends at Agrarian, Williams-Sonoma's outdoor essentials line, Brenda will receive an entire Williams Sonoma chicken coop (a $1,000 value). Here are the contest rules:

  • Leave a comment below telling us about your favorite product from Agrarian
  • Mention why you like the product and include an anecdote about your gardening joys (or woes)
  • The winner will be randomly selected on June 18, 2012—be sure to check back to see if you've won (we'll be announcing the winner in the comments section).

The screened-in run fastens to the coop; the frame is made of sustainable red pine, and the mesh screen is made of galvanized steel.
