Born and raised in Israel, Tamar Mogendorff is a celebrated handstitch artist who makes upcycled one-of-a-kind mobiles, birdhouses, animals, and sea creatures in her Brooklyn workship. Mogendorff uses vintage linen, wool, mohair, cotton, tweed, antique embroidery, pashmina, and other fabrics in her creations; we especially like her take on the classic mounted animal head. Select pieces by Mogendorff are available at Lola in Berkeley, Selvedge in the UK, Kindergallery in Australia, UrthChild, and Lille, among others. Go to Tamar Mogendorff to see more of her work.
