Enough with Downton Abbey: Portuguese designer Diogo Frias updates the gentleman's valet so that even those of us pressed for space can integrate an Old World ritual into our daily lives.
Combining his two degrees in product and industrial design, Porto-based Frias works with the production process, creating viable products that “somehow have the ability to induce well being in users, causing them to smile,” he says.
Above: Frias developed the Andy with Portuguese furniture maker Wewood. For more information, go to Diogo Frias.
Above: Unfurled, the Andy becomes a hanger for a jacket and trousers, while providing a shelf for a hat.
