Accessories: Tea Containers by Tatsuya Aida

February 24, 2010

Craftsman Tatsuya Aida meticulously fashions his Ki-No-Sigoto Tea Containers from Japanese cherry wood; each piece fits together precisely, creating an air-tight suction so the contents stay fresh. The containers measure 2.75 inches in diameter and are available in two heights, 4.75 inches (small) and 5.25 inches (large); for $160 and $180, respectively, at Merchant 4. We think these fall into the category of functional art.
