What to make of the design world’s ongoing fascination with curvy lines? We chalk it up to a universal need for nonchalance.
Of late we’ve noted the 21st Century Take on Scalloping, The Return of the Ruffle, and Whole Rooms and Buildings Rendered in Undulations. And in the lighting department: Frilly Glass Lights that Hang Like Flowers and The Draped Cloth Light Fixture.
Now, we’re seeing wavy woven pendant lights that look like birds in flight or floppy hats. They’re undeniably uplighting and perfect for summer quarters—or a vacation-y feel at home. Here are eight favorites.
