September 19, 2017

We’re big advocates of eliminating the daily small stresses that can lead to bigger headaches, such as charging cords and computer cables incessantly dropping behind the desk (or counter, or nightstand) the moment you unplug them. It’s small but irritating, and the fix couldn’t be simpler. Here are 10 stylish ways to keep your desktop cords and cables close at hand.

cord cable management desktop stainless steel
Above: My own cord holder of choice: Pinza is made of hand-polished, solid stainless steel. The unit is intentionally top-heavy, so it rotates forward when you pull your cords through and then back to pin them down at the length you want them; $16 for the large unit shown here.
cord cable management desktop brass cube
Above: Made by a small San Francisco design firm, Stacks is a 2.5cm metal cube with a small passageway for a single cord to run beneath. The “impossibly heavy” holder stays put on the desk, and can be stacked and paired to hold multiple cables. Available in brass (shown) or steel; $10 each.
