Since its inception at the turn of the century, the traditional bridge faucet is unchanged. With a muscular brass body that stands a few inches above the counter, the two-hole-mount bridge faucet is the first design to blend hot and cold water into a single spout. At present, the bridge faucet is the cherry on top when it comes to any Shaker and period kitchen. Here are our absolute favorites (note that for our purposes, all are of the deck-mount variety, but many are also available as a wall-mount fitting).
N.B.: Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a 10 Easy Pieces on the updated bridge faucet, a modern take on the original design.
