10 Easy Pieces: C-Tables

After years of balancing a laptop on the sofa arm or on stacked pillows, it recently occurred to me that there is a solution to this problem, and it comes in the form of a functional and good-looking piece of furniture: the C-table. Designed to levitate over the sofa at the perfect height, the C-table holds a cup of coffee, a book, or your tech of choice. The design goes back as far as 1927, when it’s said that architect Eileen Gray designed her E-1027 table for her sister who ate breakfast in bed.
