Designer Anne Paso started Lovi with the earth in mind. All materials in her products are sustainable and support local forestry and manufacturing in her native Finland. The wood is PEFC certified Minimal plastic is used, and all products are easily stored flat for reuse, year after year. Slices of laser cut birch are re-imagined into sculptural, 3-D objects by way of a patented joint system. No tools necessary. Non-toxic toy paint is applied by hand to ensure less waste. Each Lovi purchase supports a tree-planting program in developing countries. Since 2008 the program has gone to plant more than 3,000 trees.
