Ingrid Abramovitch's new book, Restoring a House in the City, reminded us how much we like Julianne Moore's West Village town house, which she renovated with Oliver Freundlich of MADE LLC. A while back we ran a Steal This Look post on her living room; here are some additional ideas for creating a similar, organic modern vibe.

Paint color in the blue/gray room? It's so gorgeous!
Just checked out Lucca... I think her sofa is actually the Todi. All their Belgian linen furniture seems to be a knock-off of Axel Vervoordt's furniture. I've wanted it for years, and was just in Belgium 2 weeks ago, checking it out at Kanaal. I wonder how it compares -- construction, materials, comfort, and cost?
Err, just had more of a look at Lucca's website, and it is not just their soft furniture that seems to bear an "uncanny" resemblance to that carried by Axel Vervoordt...

I liked that the MADELLC website shows several rooms with fireplaces and TVs on the same wall. For those of us with older homes, it's great to see beautiful examples.
