Stockholm multidisciplinary firm Claesson Koivisto Rune is behind the recent architectural endeavors of design company Sfera, including the Sfera Shop in Tokyo, a sleek, organic showpiece for the company's line of sophisticated housewares. In Kyoto, the firm designed the innovative Sfera Building, located in the heart of the city's traditional Gion district (typically most noted for its geisha). The building includes a restaurant, exhibition spaces, meeting areas, as well as a shop, where furniture pieces by Claesson Koivisto Rune, commisioned by Sfera, are sold, as well as pieces designed by local artists and artisans. Go to Sfera to see the offerings.
