Shopper's Diary: Old Faithful Shop in Vancouver
Issue 21 · Clean & White · May 25, 2010
The Old Faithful Shop opened May 15th on Cordova Street in the historic Gastown District of Vancouver, B.C. Owners Savannah Olsen and Walter Manning designed and built the interiors, using lighting from Schoolhouse Electric, reclaimed wood, and found objects throughout. The couple carries products from some of our favorite lines: Fog Linen, Brahms Mount, Roost, and Pigeon Toe Ceramics. Products can be shipped to the US, and an online shop is in the works.

Above: The chairs in the window display are made out of cedar fence panels and based on an Enzo Mari chair design. The wooden boxes are vintage crates from a junk shop in Portland, Oregon.

Above: Manning found 20-year-old moss-covered cedar fence panels on Craigslist and used them to build a display house.
